My name is Daniela Jović and I am the founder of Textlio.
I was born in Bojnice, Slovakia in 1986 and from an early age I started to express my interest in foreign languages.
After I finished my translation studies (Master’s degree) in Bratislava at the Comenius University, I decided to move to Croatia in 2010.
At the beginning of 2011, I started working in the telecom and IT industry for major international companies. This professional experience taught me a lot, in terms of technological skillset, interpersonal communication, working in a multicultural environment. Most importantly, I had an excellent opportunity to grow into a focused professional with strong ethics.
Being a freelance translator ever since I finished my studies, I felt like I’ve gained sufficient experience and decided to give my efforts a more sophisticated shape. Therefore, I opened my own translation agency.
Textlio was born and named with two ideas in my head:
…and I thought .io domains were really cool! Hence the rest of the name.
I cannot recollect precisely, but “eons ago” (as Neil DeGrasse Tyson would say), a friend of mine showed me a really cool website to watch rocket launches in real-time. For the lack of better things to do at that point, I decided to check it out and that was it. So love at first sight does really exist.
From that moment on, I have been self-studying, exploring, and learning things about rockets, space missions, astronomy, and natural sciences.
Recently I have joined the Slovak Organization for Space Activities and cannot wait what this membership will bring for me next!
